“Thank you to the members of this committee who took the time to learn about both me and my opponent, and endorsed me as the best choice.”
HOLIDAYSBURG, PA – Judy Ward, candidate for state Senate in the 30th District, announced today that she has received the official endorsement of the Cumberland County Republican Party.
Cumberland County makes up approximately 15% of the voting public in the 30th State Senate district, and this endorsement has consistently served as a bellwether for predicting the victorious candidate in Republican Primary Election contests.
The Cumberland County endorsement process is comprehensive and requires candidates to complete a lengthy questionnaire, meet with a candidate interview committee, and speak before the Republican committee members. Republican committee members are elected by their neighbors to serve as their voice on the committee. Both Ward and her opponent took part in the full endorsement process.
“Thank you to the members of this committee who took the time to learn about both me and my opponent, and endorsed me as the better choice,” Ward said in accepting the endorsement. “Your confidence and endorsement sends a strong signal to the residents of the 30th District that I will continue my record of commonsense conservative leadership as their Senator.”
Along with announcing this endorsement, Ward also made it known that her campaign filed nearly 1,100 nominating petition signatures to get on the ballot. That is more than double what is required by state law.
“Filing more than twice the number of signatures needed to get on the ballot shows the kind of grassroots support our campaign continues to build every day,” Ward said. “With volunteers and local residents coming together to get out our message of positive, proven results for taxpayers, I know we will be victorious on Election Day.”
